Slash Finishing Solo Album Today

Slash is finishing recording his solo album today (04.11.09).

The former 'Guns N Roses' guitarist said he's recording the last song for his debut solo album - which will feature a number of guest vocalists - and can't wait for the results to be released.

Speaking at the Marshall Classic Rock Roll of Honour awards on Monday (02.11.09), he said: "It's pretty much done. I've got a couple of songs left to mix and I've got one song left to record which I'm doing as soon as I leave here, after I head back tomorrow.

"There's quite a list of people on the album. I'm not publicly talking about who it is until all the ink is dried on all the different contracts, but the rumours are out there - you sort of know what's going on."

Rumoured to appear on the record are Black Eyed Peas' vocalist Fergie, Cyprus Hill - on a new version of Guns N Roses classic 'Paradise City'- Koshi Inaba from Japanese rock duo B'Z, Ozzy Osbourne, Chris Cornell, Flea, Dave Grohl and ex Guns N' Roses band-mate Steven Adler.

Slash added: "There will be some people from the pop business that people are surprised that I'm using, and there's also some real rock n roll people with pop guises."

The 'It's So Easy' guitarist also said he only drew up his wish list of singers when he had written the songs for the record.

He added: "When I was actually doing the writing of the songs I didn't have singers. But then, when I had finished them, I thought 'you know who would sound good on this...' and that's how it would start."

Slash's self titled debut album will be released early next year.
