Soundgarden Reunion Rumours

These Soundgarden reunion rumours won’t go away. First, Chris Cornell’s solo career craters. Second, the three other guys played a spontaneous one-off gig earlier this year using another singer. And third, it seems to be an open secret in some circles that people are talking to other people.

Then the other night, Cornell shows up at a Pearl Jam show in Los Angeles where he duets with Eddie Vedder on the old Temple of The Dog song, “Hungry Strike”.

And if that wasn’t enough, Kim Thayil and Ben Shepherd were at the gig watching. And of, course, Matt Cameron, Pearl Jam’s drummer, was also in Soundgarden. This is the first time in 13 years that all four members of Soundgarden have appeared in the same place in public. Dudes: what’s going on?

Lost in all this, of course, is that this appearance was a Temple of The Dog reunion. Eddie, Chris, Jeff, Stone and Matt were the core of that group. Was this the first time they played together since 1990?
