Pearl Jam on track to land No1 album

It's looking like Pearl Jam could score its first Number One album in 13 years. According to, industry insiders say the group's new effort, Backspacer, could sell between 175,000 to 200,000 copies by the end of the week -- putting it ahead of the competition on the next Billboard Top 200 album chart. The set, which went on sale Sunday (September 20th) marks Pearl Jam's first without a major label. It's being sold exclusively at Target, iTunes, Pearl Jam's website and independent stores.
